Announcing

Welcome Karl to our organization!

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Karl Meier has just recently decided to join TruTech Specialty Motors. With immediate effect, Karl will assume duties as our Executive Vice President. Karl is not new to TruTech as he has been engaged as the driving force behind the integrated servo drive-motor since its inception as well as a member of our Board of Directors for nearly 2½ years now. Under his advice and guidance, TruTech has been able to grow significantly. Karl was requested to delay any retirement plans and join the staff within the company to have a more direct role in helping to grow the business in a Sales & Marketing capacity.

Karl comes to TruTech with over 35 years of experience in industrial controls and specifically in motion control since 1995. From global strategic product and market planning, product development, sales and marketing management in both domestic and international capacities, to servo motion and machine control knowledge, engineering and operations oversight, as well as executive team leadership, he brings many aspects to TruTech that will further the company and your organization to grow and profit. The companies where Karl worked previously are: Lenze, ADVANCED Motion Controls, Emerson Motion Control/Control Techniques and SICK. He has personally been involved with many projects, products and programs for the companies where he has worked as well as contributed to the success of their respective customers. Many in our industry already know him and the learning curve for him with us is expected to be minimal.

For those that may wonder further about Karl and his humble beginnings, his formal education includes a BS in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and an MS in Computer Science. He started out of school as an Electronics Engineer and officer in the U.S.A.F. on ground-based computer and control systems for the Shuttle program. Karl, along with his wife Susan, recently built and now reside in Coeur d’Alene, ID which will be his primary base of operation. When not hard at work, Karl may be found racing, I mean riding, his many motorcycles. Don’t ask, he says it’s not a hobby but a disease!
